About Phi Gamma Delta

The Fraternity of Phi Gamma Delta, also known as FIJI or Phi Gam, has 144 chapters and 10 colonies at colleges and universities in the United States and Canada. Phi Gamma Delta provides leadership development, educational programs, and lifelong friendships to our members.

The International Fraternity of Phi Gamma Delta was founded May 1, 1848 at Jefferson College in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania by John Templeton McCarty, Samuel Beatty Wilson, James Elliott Jr., Ellis Bailey Gregg, Daniel Webster Crofts, and Naaman Fletcher. Today, these men are respectfully referred to as the “Immortal Six”. The brotherhood they created over a century ago set the foundations and traditions that our Fraternity still follows today.

Mission

Phi Gamma Delta unites men in enduring friendships, stimulates the pursuit of knowledge, and builds courageous leaders who serve the world with the best that is in them.

Vision

To be an active, vital force of men who courageously live our values and make a positive impact on college and community.
